why can’t you seeee-eeee-eeee, you belong with meeee-eeee-eeee?

hello, hello, hello. second post of the day! eh, i’ve got nothing else to do. so i might as well post a couple of foodie photos for my foodie darlings! before i get to the food, today i tried another one of the sarah ivanhoe yoga sessions! i did the flat abs dvd. i absolutely loved this one too! i’m so happy i bought this series! after 20 minutes of ab-flattening (ohhhh yeah!) i made myself a mid-day meal. a.k.a…lunch. that was my attempt at creative wording.

> brown jasmine rice, avocado, raw corn, sauteed red and green bell peppers flavored with chili powder, a scoop of homemade curry hummus

this lunch was so easy to put together, and it tasted soooo good. i loved the simplicity of the flavors, and how each little component of this meal could be matched up with one another. everything meshed so well! i loved that.

> sweet potato with miso paste
> sea salad: arame, dulse, torn spinach, tamari

i guess i didn’t put enough tamari on my salad…because it wasn’t flavorful enough, and i found myself adding salt to it! i think i was just having an off moment though, because it still didn’t taste yummy even then! i ventured to the fridge for some teriyaki sauce, which got me through the meal…but still, i wasn’t feeling the arame this time! it’s weird how even when i love something, there are times when it just doesn’t taste very good. *tear!* has this ever happened to you with a food you love? and you keep wanting to add things to it, but no matter what it’s just not working with you?! at least my sweet potato was spectacularly, amazingly, fantastically, marvelously delicious! haha…enthusiastic much? i think it tasted especially good because the arame was sort of sucky. [way to drag things on, JB. nobody wants to hear about your less-than-mediocre arame!]

i hope everyone had a wonderful monday! there’s a taylor swift song in my head right now that won’t leave me alone.

Hm, my fave food is oatmeal, and I haven’t been disappointed in it yet…but hard to get disappointed with oats! But I do sometimes get disappointed with sweet potatoes and kabochas…sometimes the produce is just not that great!
